After the Giants killed it at the All Star game they continued their dominance and began the second half of the season winning 7 of their first 9 games. They began by sweeping the Houston Astros at home, if the Astros didn’t have to play us ever again I think they’d be relieved, and then the Giants went on the road to face the Braves and the Phillies where they took 2 out of 3 games from each team. The team has been able to get off to such a hot start after the All Star break because of their pitching and the bats of The Melk Man, Buster, and Crawford…. yes you heard me right, Brandon Crawford.
The week leading up to the All Star game that was in the home of the Kansas City Royals there was a lot of negative talk about the Giants having 3 positions players and a pitcher start for the National League. Well as soon as the game got underway on Tuesday night all of that talk came to a screeching halt as Posey, Sandoval, Cain, and Cabrera all had huge games and were the main reasons why the National League killed the American League 8-0.
I work in the Coca-Cola Fan Lot at AT&T Park and Wednesday was just like any other day, or so I thought. As my co-workers and I were getting ready to start the night we were expecting a good game with Cain on the hill, but nothing like what we saw. Cain wasn’t the only one on fire for the Giants on the night of June 13th, which will go down in history forever, the offense was also ready to go.
