After the Giants killed it at the All Star game they continued their dominance and began the second half of the season winning 7 of their first 9 games. They began by sweeping the Houston Astros at home, if the Astros didn’t have to play us ever again I think they’d be relieved, and then the Giants went on the road to face the Braves and the Phillies where they took 2 out of 3 games from each team. That’s all Madison Bumgarner would need as he threw 8 solid innings of no run baseball. “Mad Bum” has been pitching lights out with 11 strikeouts his last outing and a 6-4 record on the season.
